Why CDE London?
Dance in the center of London for 8 months
Copenhagen Dance Education is now coming to London and we are bringing the same amazing international line-up with us. The best teachers, choreographers and educators from all over the world to train you in a brand new studio in central London. Come join us for the first season ever and be part of the community, we call family at CDS.
To become a professional working dancer stage experience is key, this is why we have many annual performances for our students; creation of content, multiple scout sessions and actual auditions.
As our Danish program, we regularly have classes that will be filmed in L.A. style, with groups and solos as well as concept & creative videos created by main influencers of the dance industry.
With the program the student also gets two photoshoots; one full-body shoot and one portfolio headshot.

We have developed this program over the last 12 years and it is the leading international dance education program in the world where the 100% focus is to help dancers reach their individual goals both as dancers, artist but also to develop as humans.
We give the students the absolute best training to get them ready for the industry, both stage commercial work, creative artistic jobs and self development within own brand.
Our students in London have the opportunity to go on five inspirational dance trips; 5 days to Dublin for Take Flight Halloween edition, 5 days in Amsterdam for personal feedback on solo projects for Malou Linders, Sergio Reis, Lola Becker and Jordy Sparidaens, 8 days in Los Angeles to take classes at the core of the industry, a meet with the Swedish production company Benke and one full month in Copenhagen to be part of a large theatre production and audition for our in-house agency Bjerkensjoe&From.

1. Black Box Theater
The Black Box project is a project for all students and will be performed in small groups in a Black Box theater in Amsterdam.
When in Amsterdam you also get to take classes in the leading studio by main teachers and get to experience the fast growing dance industry in the city.
2. Multiple video content
& concepts
The program offers multiple video sessions, both choreographed concept videos, in studio camera classes and creative solo video projects.
3. Graduation show
The graduation show is the culmination of the 8 months training, having the students being part of a professional production creatively directed by in-house production company Bjerkensjoe & From and choreographed by main faculty teachers of the educational program.

Inspirational travels
5 days in dublin
The 5 days in Dublin in October will challenge the students with high-level training by talented people from all over the world. It will give them the extra inspiration, so when they return to the eduction after 5 days they’re ready to level up.
3 weeks In CPH
You and your fellow students will all go to Copenhagen to take classes and have closed feedback sessions with our in-house Danish agency; Bjerkensjoe&From. You will be able to take classes with our danish student on our day education as well as take evening classes with our evening school. The studio is located in Copenhagen close to cafés and sightseeing.
8 days in Sunny L.A.
Do you want to take classes and meet up with agencies in Los Angeles? Ofc you do! Together with the students from Copenhagen you will all go to Los Angles and live together in a big villa. We got everything covered from a sick schedule, sightseeing, photoshoot and transportation.
5 days in amsterdam
For your solo project we are going to Amsterdam where you will get feedback from the leading choreographers and educators from Holland.
2 days in Sweden
We all go to Sweden for two days, where our students will go through an intense workshop with Frederik Benke and scounting sessions for Benke Productions. All to gain more experience and getting more confident auditioning as a professional dancer.
And who knows, you might ending up getting booked for your first payed job…
Ready To Shine In Front Of The Camera?
As a working dancer, you need to bring headshots for your auditions, when applying for productions and jobs online. Therefore as a part of our programs, you get a professional headshot, that you will receive both digital and printed. The headshot shoot will have a professional makeup artist and pictures are taken by a Danish well-known photographer.
The full body shot is the first one the students get to take and they are the first step of defining the students as being working dancers. The shoot is focused very much on the students' personal style.

2 Year Program
Year #1 - The Body
Year #1 is about the technical training, foundations, choreography pick up, commercial performance, facial expression, to be part of a group, find your unique style, stamina, physic, strength, musicality, camera work, solo performance, dig deeper, quality in movement, isolations, knowledge and the history of the different dance styles.
On the first year you will also have the opportunity to go to Dublin and Los Angeles to challenge and develope yourself even more and get motivated for your future in the dance industry.
Year #2 - The Mind
The mind includes for second year Students excessive training at BjerkensjoeFrom production dance studio with 100% focus on professional work, all coached and personally planned by owner Josefin Canfield.
Understanding the industry, talks and sessions with A bookers, meetings with agents, actual commercial jobs, large video productions, getting ready to teach, the skills of choreographing, understanding creative development of productions, training with the OGs, learning about being in & on productions, solo sessions, SoMe building, personal branding and all of what a professional dancer needs to become their own business.
On the second year you will also have the opportunity to go to Dublin and be a part of Take Flight Intensive with year 1 students. Also a part of year two you will to go to London to meet with some of the top agencies and booking companies. This is an important experience for the students, since it will allow them to meet some of the main bookers of the UK and this way give them an opening to becoming a professional dancer.
